Top Tips If It Rains On Your Wedding Day

The start of the Rainy season here in Grenada begins in June and ends in November. Whether you enjoy a rainy wedding or not, here a few tips and tricks to help make your wedding run smoothly on a wet rainy day. 1. Purchase colourful rain boots and matching umbrellas.Preferably colors that will go with your wedding colors. If you can, avoid white umbrellas as it will blend in with the overcast sky. Purchasing these items prior to your wedding will definitely make you feel more relaxed. Also if you have rain boots, you will likely be more willing to go out in the rain for photos because you won’t mind stepping on wet grass or sand as much as you would in heels. 2.Interview your photographerMake sure to ask your photographer if they know what to do in case it rains.

3.Bring Towels

Carrying some towels is a great idea. You can choose colors from your wedding color palette and fold them in neat shapes for added wedding Deco. You can use the towels to dry benches, and have them sit on to make sure guest don't get wet or dirty. Your photographer should also bring towels to the wedding but it’s a great tip to remind them just in case.

4. Have a planner help

Having a wedding planner is one of the best decisions you can make on your wedding day. They have usually seen all different scenarios and can assist in helping to find locations, or switch around timelines. Entertain both scenarios in your head as you plan, and don’t just daydream about the sunny day. That way, if it does rain, you’ll be mentally prepared for the rain and you’ll know exactly where to go to take photos. Leave extra time in your day-of itinerary for photos in case of rain, since you’ll need to get to and from your ‘rain’ location, wherever that is.

5.Back up plan At first sight, you may be blown away by your outside venue, however make sure you see and love your backup space just in case. Having a plan B and loving it is just as important. 6.Go with the flowFinally, if you can't beat them, join them. If after the ceremony or later on in the night you dare to get a little wet, some photos in the rain could be very romantic! At the end of the day, you'll be a Mrs. rain or shine, so remember to enjoy it.
